Eric Nelson’s songwriting is inspired by the everyday situations that are extraordinary to those who live them. With lyrics heartfelt and soul searching, Eric uses his music to illustrate how common people can live with loneliness, humor, and joy at the same time.

After getting his first harmonica at a grocery store at the age of 12, Eric has been sneaking into bars playing original music since 2001. Cutting his teeth on the road with bands Loco Macheen and The Dewayn Brothers gave him the chance to see the country and he's still convinced Kansas is the greatest state to call home. After five years on the road, he decided to step back and pursue the common things in life: education, family, health insurance, steady pay, etc. Now, with another decade of experiences and life lessons, Eric is back performing solo, with The Dewayn Brothers and various other musical projects.
